ArcelorMittal: FY earnings up 13%
(CercleFinance.com) - ArcelorMittal has reported FY 2018 earnings that are up 12.
7% at 5.1 billion dollars, with EBITDA that is up 22.1% at 10.3 billion dollars.
Its board of directors has proposed to increase its dividend to 0.20 euro per share for the year.
The group reported annual sales growth of 10.7% to 76 billion dollars, for steel shipments of 83.9 million tonnes (Mt) for full-year 2018 (-1.6% compared to 2017).
ArcelorMittal forecasts a slight increase in global steel demand in 2019 compared to 2018. Steel shipments are expected to increase, boosted by a better operational performance.
