Arcelormittal: big investment in Mexico.
(CercleFinance.com) - Yesterday evening ArcelorMittal announced that it will make a 1 billion dollar investment over three years in Mexico.
The steel giant intends to prepare for increased demand from consumers and will bring its annual production capacity in the country to 5.3 million tonnes, against 4 million tonnes today.
This investment, which is part of its strategic plan for 2020, will focus on a new rolling mill, its mining activities and the modernisation of its assets. It will create 800 jobs.
