SES: contract renewed with Japan's NHK
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday the satellite operator SES announced the renewal of its capacity contract with the Japanese public television channel NHK.
This multi-year contract, which covers resources located at the group's 19.2 degrees East orbital position, will enable NHK to continue to broadcast its HD channels in English to 45 million European homes equipped with the satellite, SES said in a statement.
The group also announced on Tuesday that four of the world's top five cruise operators have chosen its high-performance O3b mPower communications system, representing a total order backlog of over 220 million euros.
