Nissan: targeted by an SEC investigation
(CercleFinance.com) - According to Bloomberg, Nissan, a member of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, confirmed this morning that the US stock market authorities have in turn opened an investigation into the remuneration of its directors.
Thus, according to Bloomberg, the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) wants to first check whether the amounts declared by Nissan regarding the remuneration of its directors were those actually paid, and secondly whether the group has properly implemented the means of control that would avoid inappropriate payments. The Japanese group said that it is fully cooperating with the US stockmarket regulator.
Although it is still in its early stages, the SEC investigation has been delayed by over a due to the effects of the recent shutdown. However, now that this if over, the investigation will really be able to progress.
