Toyota: lowers production forecast for October
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota has announced a further revision of its production plans for October.
Last week the Japanese carmarker had already announced a drop in its production in October, lowering it to 800,000 units.
Today, it announced that due to the impact of the semiconductor shortage, it had to suspend operations in some factories and lines in Japan. As a result, global production in October is now expected to be limited to 750,000 units.
However, the production forecast for the financial year remains unchanged at around 9.7 million, it said.
