Toyota: global sales up 3.8% in August
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota has announced that total group sales reached 844,028 units in August 2022, up 3.
8% y-o-y.
Between August 2021 and August 2022, global sales of the Toyota brand increased by 3.8% (to 777,047 units), as did those of Daihatsu (+4.5%, to 54,882 units), while Hino's sales rose by 0.6%, to 12,099 units.
Its production increased by 39.5% between August 2021 and August 2022, to 885,812 units produced. The Toyota brand produced 766,683 vehicles (+44.3%), ahead of Daihatsu (107,384 vehicles produced, +17.3%) while production fell at Hino (11,745 vehicles produced, -2.5%).
Finally, exports increased by 3.2% to 116,346 units, with an increase in exports at Toyota (+1.6% to 110,769 units) and Hino (+49.4% to 5,577 units).
