Toyota: 10 million cars equipped with preventive safety pack
(CercleFinance.com) - The total number of vehicles with the Toyota Safety Sense - a set of active safety features designed to prevent or mitigate the consequences of collisions - will exceed 10 million worldwide.
This announcement by Toyota Motor Corporation comes just three and a half years after its introduction in 2015.
Today, this pack equips approximately 90% of new Toyota passenger cars sold in Japan, Europe and North America. It is now available in 68 countries and regions of the world, including China, some Asian countries, the Middle East and Australia.
By the end of the year, the pack is set to equip 3 million vehicles in Japan, nearly 2 million in Europe and 5 million in North America.
