WPP: buys Brazilian digital firm DTI

(CercleFinance.com) - Advertising giant WPP is acquiring DTI, a Brazilian digital innovation and software engineering firm as part of its strategy to expand its presence in the faster growing areas of commerce and technology.


Based in Belo Horizonte, DTI was founded in 2009 and has 800 employees. Its clients include some of Brazil's largest companies, as well as global companies such as German chemical and pharmaceuticals giant Bayer.

With over 4,000 employees and 300 million dollars in sales, Brazil is WPP's largest market in Latin America. Local clients include Coca-Cola, Visa, Nike, and Telefonica's Vivo, it said.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
