Pirelli: 9m results at end-September warmly welcomed.
(CercleFinance.com) - Going against the market trend in Italy today, the Pirelli share is up almost 0.
9% at lunchtime, boosted by the announcement of solid accounts for the first nine months of 2017.
The Italian tyre manufacturer reported income of 123.6 million euros, compared with just 16.7 million euros over 9m 2016.
The group also generated turnover of 4.04 billion euros, up 9%.
Pirelli targets 9% growth for the current year and expects an adjusted operating profit of 930 million euros, compared to 844 million at end-2016. The group's 9m operating profit reached 681 million euros at 30 September, up 9.7%.
