Prysmian: General Cable shareholders approve deal
(CercleFinance.com) - General Cable shareholders on Friday approved its acquisition by Italy's Prysmian, the US cable manufacturer said.
A total of 38.1 million shares, representing approximately 75% of the company's total shares, and approximately 99% of the total voting rights, voted in favour of the merger.
The transaction is expected to close by the third quarter of 2018, the company said.
