Prysmian: opens new optical cable plant in Romania.
(CercleFinance.com) - Italy's Prysmian has today inaugurated a new optical cable plant, the largest of its kind in Europe, in Slatina, Romania.
The new plant is part of the group's 3-year, 250-million-euro investment plan aimed at improving production capacity and capabilities and meeting the growing demand for optical cables for the deployment of new high-speed telecommunications networks.
Prysmian Group's telecoms business saw its adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climb 22% last year.
