Telecom Italia: Vivendi requests new shareholder meeting
(CercleFinance.com) - As announced on 11 December, Vivendi has written to Telecom Italia's board of directors asking it to convene - as soon as possible - a general shareholders' meeting to appoint new statutory auditors.
The French group has also requested that the removal of five members from Elliott's list (Fulvio Conti, Alfredo Altavilla, Massimo Ferrari, Dante Roscini and Paola Giannotti Ponti) be included in this meeting's agenda.
In replacement, Vivendi has requested that this meeting be proposed for the appointment of five new board members, all of whom are independent, namely Flavia Mazzarella, Franco Bernabe, Gabriele Galateri di Genola, Rob van der Valk and Francesco Vatalaro.
