Telecom Italia: denies any collusion in broadband
(CercleFinance.com) - After the Italian competition authority decided to open an investigation into the country's Internet broadband access market, TIM categorically ruled out having engaged in any commercial coordination with other operators.
"TIM reiterates it has always operated in compliance with current regulations guaranteeing full collaboration with all sector authorities and maximum transparency for its customers," the company said in a statement.
According to Bloomberg yesterday, antitrust authorities in Italy have searched the headquarters of the country's biggest phone carriers such as Telecom Italia, Vodafone, and Fastweb, as part of a probe into the overpricing of mobile and fixed-line services.
