Eni: wind and solar projects with Infrastrutture
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni announces that its company Plenitude has entered into a new partnership with Infrastrutture S.
p.A. to develop solar and wind projects in Italy and Spain by acquiring a 65% stake in Hergo Renewables, a company that holds a portfolio of projects in both countries, with a total capacity of about 1.5 GW.
Infrastructure, which will retain the remaining 35% of Hergo Renewables.
The partners are already planning to open a 37 MW photovoltaic plant in Montalto di Castro (Italy). Work is due to start in the next few weeks and the plant will be commissioned in the second half of 2023.
The development of the wind and photovoltaic sectors is at the heart of our growth strategy, which aims to reach over 2 GW of installed capacity from renewable sources by the end of 2022, more than 6 GW by 2025 and over 15 GW by 2030, Plenitude said.
