ENI: confirms commitments in Libya
(CercleFinance.com) - The Prime Minister of Libya, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, and the CEO of Eni, Claudio Descalzi, met in Tripoli to discuss Eni's strategy in the country.
Thiz aims to stimulate investment, support the Libyan health sector and access to energy (renewables, gas for the domestic market and electricity production).
Eni said it is working on relevant new offshore development projects such as Structures A&E, Bouri Gas Utilization, Sabratha Compression and Hamada, while maximizing Libya's gas production by developing new opportunities.
Eni has been present in Libya since 1959 and is in a joint venture with the state-owned NOC. The company is the country's largest international hydrocarbon producer.
