Eni: buys three solar projects in Spain
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni has acquired three photovoltaic projects in southern Spain as the Italian energy group seeks to continue to advance on the expanding renewable-energy market.
The agreement with renewable energy developer X-Elio covers a total capacity of 140 MW, Eni said in a statement on Thursday.
The companies have also entered into discussions for a broader strategic collaboration for the development of renewable projects in Spain, where Eni is aiming to grow up to 1 GW in the next five years.
The move comes after Eni recently took over Aldro Energia Y Soluciones, a provider of electricity, gas and services to household customers as well as businesses of all sizes, that operates in Spain and Portugal.
