Eni: makes new offshore gas find in Indonesia
(CercleFinance.com) - Italian energy firm Eni has made a new gas discovery offshore from Indonesia's Kalimantan.
The company - which has been operating in Indonesia since 2001 - said that it has successfully tested and drilled a prospect area in a block located 33 km south east from the Jangkrik field which it already operates.
The well has been drilled to a depth of 3,400 metres in a water depth of 1,592 metres, having encountered 15 metres of gas, it said.
The production test has recorded an "excellent gas deliverability," Eni added.
