Eni: new oil discovery offshore Angola
(CercleFinance.com) - Italian energy group Eni said on Monday that it has made a new oil discovery in an exploration prospect located offshore Angola.
The Afoxe-1 NFW well, which has led to the new oil discovery, is located approximately 120 km off the coast. It has been drilled in a water depth of 780 metres, reaching a total depth of 1,723 metres.
Yesterday, Eni also announced the entry of Mubadala Petroleum and BP as new partners in Nour concession in Egypt.
In the concession - located approximately 50 km offshore in the Eastern Mediterranean - Eni now holds a 40% stake, BP holds a 25% stake, and Mubadala Petroleum a 20% stake.
