Mondadori: stock boosted by speculation
(CercleFinance.com) - The Mondadori stock has got off to a bad start in 2018.
Although it rose 5.1% yesterday, the share has more than wiped out this rise, down about 7% at around 11 am on Wednesday.
According to an article in the financial newspaper Milano Finanza, an alliance would be possible between the French branch of the Italian magazine publisher, Lagardère and the Marie-Claire group (in which Lagardère has a 42% stake).
Hit by a decline in broadcasting in paying press, the 3 companies could agree on the creation of a new dedicated and listed entity.
