Autogrill: not in the running to takeover Areas
(CercleFinance.com) - According to Les Echos today, the sale of Elior's concessions catering subsidiary Areas is now on track.
The paper says that amongst potential candidates which have stepped forward, three investment funds - Carlyle, Lonestar and the French fund PAI, have been retained (by the board of directors, ed.) to submit final offers in the coming weeks.
However, the Italian group Autogrill is not interested Les Echos says. Elior appears to want about 1.6 billion euros for Areas, while in Milan, Autogrill has a market capitalisation of around two billion euros.
In the past few days, the boss of one of its domestic competitors, Cremonini, said that he was not interested in Areas, according to comments reported by press agency Radiocor.
