Generali: EU authorises an acquisition
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of a joint venture by Assicurazioni Generali S.
p.A (Generali), based in Italy, and Joint Social Protection Group Klesia, based in France.
The joint venture will bring together the collective providence and health activity of Generali Vie S.A., a company based in France that Generali controls, and Klesia's providence and health activity in France.
The Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would not raise competition concerns given the moderate market shares of the companies concerned in the markets in question.
