Generali: acquires CMISL
(CercleFinance.com) - Generali has announced the acquisition, of CM Investment Solutions Limited (CMISL) from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, which will bring its expertise in alternative strategies and will strengthen the Italian group's market coverage and clientele base.
Generalis said that “This acquisition marks an acceleration in the execution of Generali's asset management strategy, which targets an expansion into alternative strategies and growth outside of Europe.”
Founded in 2007, the CMISL platform represents over 11 billion dollars in assets under management as of 30 September 2018. It will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Generali, although will maintain its autonomy, and will remain based in London, with operations all over the world.
