Generali: has an eye on Sycomore Asset Management
(CercleFinance.com) - According to the Bloomberg news agency, the Italian insurer Generali is in talks regarding the acquisition of the Parisian asset manager Sycomore Asset Management (AM) in order to boost its offer in terms of ecologically-responsible funds.
Created in 2001, Sycomore AM, which has assets under management of eight billion euros, could announce a “deal” as from next month, the agency believes, for a purchase price exceeding 200 million.
However, this is not certain yet - talks are still ongoing and other actors "remain interested" in Sycomore.
