Linde: confident after 'solid' Q2 results

(CercleFinance.com) - Linde, the industrial gas producer resulting from the merger of Germany's Linde AG and US group Praxair, on Monday announced "solid" Q2 results, helped by strong business in the US.


On a pro forma basis, the group's sales, which is now based in the UK, came in at around 7.2 billion dollars, stable year-on-year, for a slightly higher operating profit, which reached 1.32 billion dollars, against 1.25 billion dollars in Q2 2018.

Linde is confident that it will reach its FY targets.

For 2019, the group expects to pro-forma EPS growth of between 12% and 16%, which equates to annual adjusted EPS of 6.95 dollars to 7.18 dollars.

Linde shares - which are still listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange - rose 1.7% after these figures were announced.
