Linde: shares up as UBS raises target

(CercleFinance.com) - Linde shares are up 1.
3% at 151.7 euros on Thursday, outperforming a 0.6% rise in the DAX index, as UBS raises its target price for the German industrial gases maker from 158 euros to 170 euros and repeats its "buy" rating on the stock.

"Linde offers sustainable earnings growth and the potential of further buybacks," UBS says in a preview note.

The broker says the company's "under-leveraged balance sheet" should allow further cash returns of up to 7 billion dollars.
