Linde: chairman of the executive board to leave

(CercleFinance.com) - Aldo Belloni, chairman of Linde's executive board, is planning to leave his post as the German industrial gases maker finalises its merger with US rival Praxair, the group said on Thursday.

Belloni will leave the executive board when the so-called "hold separate order" set by the US Federal Trade Commission expires.

Such "hold separate order" obliges Linde and Praxair to continue to operate their businesses as separate companies, and not to coordinate their operations, until the sales of certain businesses are complete.

In the shake-up, Sven Schneider, who was previously Linde's CFO, will take up the new position of spokesman of the executive board, while Eduardo Menezes will become member of the executive board, responsible for EMEA.

Bernd Eulitz will take on Americas gases business and the Lincare division, Linde said.

Linde's executive board is responsible for managing the company and conducting the business.
