Linde: completes divestiture of Praxair's European business
(CercleFinance.com) - Linde has completed the divestiture of the majority of Praxair's European business to Japan's Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation, the German industrial gases maker said on Monday.
The assets divested include Praxair's industrial gases businesses in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK and include approximately 2,600 employees, it said.
The divested businesses generated annual sales of approximately 1.3 billion euros in 2017.
The deal is part of the conditions that were set by the European Commission for the merger between Linde and Praxair to go ahead.
