Ryanair: trims traffic growth guidance due to Boeing 737 MAX

(CercleFinance.com) - Ryanair expects to carry 156 million passengers in the year to 31 March 2021, the low-cost airline said on Wednesday, down a tad from a previous guidance of 157 million passengers.

The company said it had to revise its schedule again, based on receiving just ten Boeing 737 MAX aircraft rather than the 20 as previously planned.

The company said further delivery delays of the MAX aircraft for summer 2020 had forced it to cut its forecasts, and that it would close two more bases in the current financial year - Nuremberg and Stockholm Skavsta.

Even so, the share is still up 1.6% in London.
