Ryanair: passenger traffic up 9% in July
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Irish low-cost airline Ryanair said that it transported 9% more passengers in July this year relative to last.
Ryanair said that it carried 14.8 million passengers in July, up from 13.6 million in July a year ago.
These figures include a 20% increase in traffic at the Austrian airline Lauda, the acquisition of which the group finalised at the start of the year.
In a statement, Ryanair said it operated over 81,000 flights in July.
Listed on the London Stock Exchange, the Ryanair share was up 2.7% at 9.3 euros in early afternoon trading on Wednesday.
