Ryanair: several changes in 'luggage' policy

(CercleFinance.com) - The low-cost airline Ryanair announced on Friday several changes in its luggage policy, which are applicable from 1 November and for all bookings after 1 September.

Now customers with checked luggage will be change from luggage of 20 kg for 25 euros to luggage of 10 kg for 8 euros. Customers with priority boarding will be able to continue to bring 2 free cabin-size pieces of luggage (1 bag of 10 kg and 1 small bag). Non-priority customers may only bring one small piece of free hand luggage.

Specifically, previously, all non-priority customers could bring a free (small) piece of hand luggage and a larger bag (on wheels). The larger bag was tagged at the door and put in the cargo hold (for free), which Ryanair says caused delays. From November, non-priority customers will only be able to bring one (small) free carry-on piece of luggage. There will be no more free luggage to drop off at the boarding gate.
