It first wishes to strengthen its positions in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, fire and security solutions, as well as building management systems, which are attractive vertical markets with strong growth prospects.
Johnson Controls expects to finalise this assessment of strategic alternatives over the next few months, stating that it cannot at present guarantee a sale. It has selected Centerview Partners as a financial advisor to assist it.
