Medtronic: 8% increase in quarterly dividend
(CercleFinance.com) - Medtronic says that its board of directors has decided to raise its quarterly dividend by 8% to 54 cents per share, meaning an equivalent of 2.
16 dollars over the full-year, and a 41% adjusted payout rate of the last fiscal
year.
This is the 42nd consecutive year of dividend increase for the US medical equipment supplier. It has increased by 17% per year on average over this long period, and overall by 77% over the last five years.
" The company remains committed to returning a minimum of 50 percent of its free cash flow to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases," Medtronic said, which will pay its next dividend on 25 July.
