Accenture: wins cloud deal with Takeda
(CercleFinance.com) - Japanese drugmaker Takeda said it has entered into a five-year strategic deal with Accenture and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate its digital transformation.
Under this long-term collaboration, Takeda will modernise its platforms, accelerate data services, establish an internal engine for innovation, and equip employees with new ways of working, the company said.
Japan's largest drugmaker by sales will also move 80% of its applications to the cloud, it added in a press release.
Takeda said it expects to create hundreds of new jobs in specialised roles in data and digital fields over the next three years.
