Accenture: acquires Swedish company Northstream
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Accenture announced the acquisition of the Swedish consulting firm Northstream, although did not specify the terms of the deal.
In a statement, the US consulting giant said that the acquisition will enable it to strengthen its expertise in the European market for telecom and network equipment, which are mainly derived from Northstream's clients.
The deal comes at a time when there is an increasing number of deployments of 5G technology and Internet of Things (IoT) projects.
Accenture says that it intends to take on the company's entire workforce of about thirty employees.
Northstream was created in 1998.
