Accenture: buys US data intelligence company Knowledgent
(CercleFinance.com) - Consulting firm Accenture said late on Thursday that it has agreed to buy data intelligence company Knowledgent, to expand its data management capacity.
The move will help companies gain deep insights into their businesses and customers, Accenture said in a statement.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, although Accenture said New Jersey-based Knowledgent has over 200 analysts providing data strategy and architecture, data engineering, and data management services.
Accenture also said that it has completed the acquisition of Adaptly, a New York-based digital media services company.
Yesterday, after reporting its first-quarter results, Accenture said that it had been chosen by the Canadian train and plane maker Bombardier to help it streamline its procurement processes.
