Accenture: strategic partnership with Chinese AI pioneer
(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture has announced a strategic alliance with a Chinese artificial intelligence (AI) start-up on Monday to offer computer vision and product recognition solutions to its clients.
The IT consulting giant has taken a minority stake in Malong Technologies, an AI pioneer headquartered in Shenzhen, it said.
Malong's technology lets machines "see" physical objects the way a person does, meaning that retailers can use it for product checkouts.
Other use cases include defect detection, baggage scanning, and analyzing medical images, Accenture said.
