Vodafone: Vodacom to issue new shares, diluting stake
(CercleFinance.com) - Vodafone's shareholding in South African unit Vodacom is expected to fall from 64.
5% to approximately 60.5% as a result of this dilution, the telecoms giant said on Monday.
Vodacom plans to increase its ownership of Vodacom South Africa from 93.75% to 100% and issue new Vodacom Group shares, hence diluting existing shareholders, Vodafone said.
