TechnipFMC: major contract with Qatar Petroleum via CTJV
(CercleFinance.com) - TechnipFMC has announced that CTJV, a joint venture between Chiyoda Corporation and Technip Energies, has been awarded a design, supply, construction and installation (DB&I) contract worth over 1 billion dollars by Qatar Petroleum for the onshore facilities of the North Field East project.
The price will cover the delivery of four "mega trains" - each with a transport capacity of 8 million tonnes per year (Mtpa) of liquefied natural gas - and associated utility facilities.
It also includes a large CO2 capture and storage facility that will lead to greenhouse gas emissions being reduced by over 25%, TechnipFMC said.
