easyJet: share takes off after quarterly update

3% in London on Tuesday morning after announcing Q1 (to end-December 2019) revenue that is up 9.9% at 1,425 million pounds, with a 2.8% increase in the number of passengers transported, reaching 22.2 million.
The low-cost airline boasts revenue per seat that is up 8.8% at constant exchange rates, outperforming expectations, in particular thanks to solid performance and robust demand for a slight increase in capacity.
For H1 2019-20, easyJet now expects growth in revenue per seat at constant exchange rates to be mid-to-high single digits, and no longer low-to-mid single digit growth.
