easyJet: to buy 25 of Air Berlin aircraft
(CercleFinance.com) - A few days after being approved by the European Commission, easyJet announced in a statement on Monday that it will operate 25 Airbus A320s from Air Berlin, at Berlin's Tegel airport, and corresponding short-haul routes.
This operation strengthens low-cost airline's presence in the German capital; to date, it was only present on the Schönefeld platform.
As a reminder, Lufthansa, will buy 81 of Air Berlin's fleet, subject to the approval of Brussels, which is set to make its decision in the next few days.
