Dixons Carphone: end of stores joint venture with Sprint.
(CercleFinance.com) - Dixons Carphone will start transferring the Sprint-branded stores it operated in the US in order to focus their collaboration on Honeybee deployment, the British electrical goods retailer said on Friday.
Given a "significant shift" in the US mobile market, Dixons Carphone says it is now the right time to transfer the stores that its Connected World Services (CWS) division has been managing since 2015.
This means that Sprint will acquire the 50% stake that CWS held in their distribution joint venture.
Under the terms of this mutual agreement, Dixons Carphone will focus on the deployment of the Honeybee software business platform across the entire Sprint estate.
Honeybee provides technology platforms and managed services to support complex transactions, connections to service providers and customer relations management services.
