Shell: invests in gas project in Malaysia
(CercleFinance.com) - Shell and Petronas today announced that they have made a final investment decision to develop the Rosmari-Marjoram gas project in Malaysia.
The fields, located 220km off the country's coast, will be powered by renewable energy, using solar power for the offshore platform.
The Rosmari-Marjoram development is one of the strategic projects to ensure sustainable gas supply to the Petronas LNG complex.
The project is designed to produce 800 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, with commissioning scheduled for 2026.
