Shell: two agreements for solar energy in the UK
(CercleFinance.com) - Shell announced on Monday that it has signed agreements with two UK solar PV developers for new projects in the UK.
The energy giant said that it has signed a framework agreement with Island Green Power, a renewable energy specialist, to develop several solar photovoltaic projects in the country, along with storage systems, representing capacities of over 700MW.
Shell has also teamed up with Clearstone Energy on a number of solar projects planned for the South East of England, with some 100MW of capacity.
Shell has said that both partnerships remain subject to final investment decisions.
Shell's energy transition strategy aims to become net zero by 2050.
