Shell: sale of assets in Egypt finalised
(CercleFinance.com) - Shell announces today that its subsidiaries Shell Egypt and Shell Austria have finalised the sale of their upstream assets in Egypt's Western Desert to a consortium composed of the subsidiaries of Cheiron Petroleum Corporation and Cairn Energy PLC.
The sale comes to a value of 646 million dollars with additional payments potentially going up to 280 million dollars between 2021 and 2024, depending on the price of oil and the results of exploration.
