Shell: signs deal to leave Gaza Marine gas field
(CercleFinance.com) - The Palestine Investment Fund said on Wednesday that it had reached an agreement with Shell's BG unit regarding the divestment of the Gaza Marine project, a gas field found 30km off the coast of the Gaza Strip.
After the transaction is completed, the Palestine Investment Fund will receive rights for 90% of the Gaza Marine license.
The Palestinian authorities awarded BG the exploration licence for the entire marine area in 1999.
