William Hill: names sports specialist as chairman
(CercleFinance.com) - British bookmaker William Hill has nominated Roger Devlin, the current chairman of a sports media group, as its chairman, effective as from April 2018.
Devlin will succeed Gareth Davis, whose succession began earlier this year after the executive said he intended to step down before the group's 2018 AGM.
Devlin has been chairman of pub operator and brewer Marston's. He is currently chairman of Sports Information Systems (SIS), in which William Hill has a 19.5% stake.
He is also a non-executive director of the Football Association, but will step down from all these roles in 2018.
