Barclays: suspends dividend payouts
(CercleFinance.com) - Barclays has decided that it will suspend the dividend payments on its ordinary shares, citing a "difficult" decision to support its business through the corona crisis
In line with a request made by the UK Prudential Regulation Authority, the British bank has also decided to cancel the 6 pence per share for financial year 2019, which was due to be paid on 3 April.
Barclays said it will decide on any future dividend policy and amounts at the end of this year.
The bank plans to report its first-quarter results on or about 29 April.
