Marks & Spencer: appoints new CFO
(CercleFinance.com) - British retailer Marks and Spencer said on Tuesday that it has hired Eoin Tonge from Irish food company Greencore to become its new chief financial officer.
David Surdeau, who is currently interim CFO, will remain with the business to support Tonge as he transitions into his new role, M&S said in a statement.
Tonge, who previously worked at Goldman Sachs in London, Hong Kong and New York between 1994 and 2006, is expected to take up his position in June.
He will receive an annual salary of 600,000 pounds (about 700,000 euros), as well as a pension plan, an annual bonus scheme and performance share plan.
