Asos: to open new fulfillment center in the US.
(CercleFinance.com) - Asos said on Tuesday that it plans to open a new fulfillment center in the US, investing 40 million dollars, as the e-commerce company tries to expand its North American business.
The plant based in Union City, outside Atlanta, is expected to start operations in the autumn of 2018.
The fulfilment center - designed to enhance the group's US customer proposition providing faster delivery options - could be further expanded in the future, the British online fashion retailer said.
As a reminder, Asos' US business has delivered 39% constant currency growth in the first six months of the current financial year, following sales of 179 million pounds (around 233 million dollars) in the fiscal year 2015/2016.
