AstraZeneca: to start Covid-19 vaccine trials in Arizona
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca is teaming up with research firm CCT to conduct Covid-19 vaccine clinical trials in Arizona, where the companies are recruiting 1,500 participants in the Phoenix area.
Under their partnership, CCT is recruiting eligible study participants who are 18-85 years old, not pregnant, in good general health and have not been previously diagnosed with Covid-19, the companies said in a statement.
The study will focus on the AstraZeneca Oxford coronavirus vaccine, AZD1222, comparing it against a placebo to see if the vaccine can prevent the virus.
